Motivating, Felicitating and Awarding the Progressive ZBNF Farmers
A Moment of Appreciation builds confidence to continue work for tens of years.
Yes, though many consider farming as business, it is a satisfactory, hunger filling spiritual job. Mother Earth never expects anything in return and hence the farmer. All he needs is fair return for his livelihood.
At this moment, it is our responsibility to felicitate and award the ZBNF farmers, practicing the Zero Budget Natural Farming since a decade. They are the one who laid foundation for ZBNF in Karnataka. Along with ZBNF Farmers, it is also the responsibility of us to felicitate progressive conventional farmers.
Hence we had conducted a event at Bangalore with the following celebrations:
- Launching “Krishi Karnataka” Monthly Magazine to reach farmers with the sustainable and progressive farming techniques.
- Conducting a awareness session for the assembled audience and farmers about the benefits and package of practices of “Zero Budget Natural Farming”.
- Allowing the farmers to explain their success story.
- Awarding “Karnataka Krishi Ratna – 2017” title and a felicitation to 23 Progressive farmers out of which 9 farmers were Zero Budget Natural Farming Farmers.
The event is conducted along with the “Krishi Karnataka” Magazing management team headed by Sri Balaji T. We were honored by the presence of dignitaries on stage for this auspicious celebration.

Farmer Families were very happy to consider them for felicitation. More than the guest they were the source of motivation for other farmers. Their success story stood as learning lesson to choose right and wrong in the farming methods. Also farmer felt happy to appreciate his profession and is a moment of proud for him.
